Celebrating Our Co-Founder Kristin Steele for International Women's Day
Mar 08, 2022

Kristin Steele, a co-owner of two businesses, continues to show that with hard work and determination you can indeed have it all. Kristin's dream of becoming an entrepreneur first came to fruition over a decade ago when she and her husband turned their passion for wine into a boutique private vineyard in 2010. A few years later, her professional and personal interests aligned after realizing that there was a lack of software options for budding wineries. From there she embarked on a new path that led to the creation of Doozy Solutions, a product and  services firm dedicated to developing the world's premier software offering for craft beverage producers.

Doozy Solutions focuses exclusively on NetSuite, the world's leading cloud-based ERP. Together with fellow NetSuite experts, Jerermy King, Josh Brox, Todd Lindley and Bill Evert, Kristin and her partners combined their love for NetSuite with the expertise of hired industry veterans with intimate knowledge of the craft beverage industry to create Crafted ERP.

Crafted ERP was created to provide a complete business management solution for craft wineries, breweries, and distilleries. Crafted, built on the Oracle-NetSuite technology platform, is quickly becoming the most popular cloud-based ERP in the world for the beverage industry. It has been proven to be the premier system for craft beverage operators to manage their business with successful implementations all over the world.

The team at Crafted ERP have always been inspired by Kristin's passion for both the software and craft beverage industry. This passion has greatly influenced how our software is developed. We are amazed at the amount of work Kristin puts in at Doozy Solutions and we look forward to continuing to benefit from her strong leadership.

As a mother of two children, Kristin continues to show that it is possible to have a successful career while raising a family. She balances her time between being a business owner, wife, and Mom with grace and ease.

International Women's Day is the perfect opportunity to recognize Kristin Steele as an inspiration and role model for all women. For all that she has accomplished, we say "Congratulations Kristin! You are amazing!"

If you’ve heard it once in the beverage industry, you’ve heard it a thousand times: You must know your customer. Great product alone isn’t enough! Customer data is arguably among the most critical pieces of information you can collect and analyze in any business, particularly in the increasingly competitive beverage industry. To succeed, you must clearly understand your customers’ needs and behavior as well as solicit their feedback. Having accurate, real-time customer data can ignite your sales processes – if you know how to use it.
Two men working in brewstillery, and one is using a beverage ERP
By Sheri Pape-Blythe 03 Apr, 2024
The beverage alcohol industry has seen a dynamic shift over the last decade. Beer, once the leading bev-alc drink of choice, officially gave up its position to spirits in 2022. As the demand for beer went down, craft breweries began investigating ways to draw in new customers and create additional revenue streams. At the same time, distilleries recognized the many similarities between beer and spirits – such as equipment, ingredients and production – and created hybrid operations. Thus, the “brewstillery” was born: a brewery/distillery combo that’s elevating craft to a new level.

A shift has been happening in the picturesque valleys where vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see. It’s not heralded by the clamor of machinery or the bustle of harvest; it’s signaled by the click of a mouse and a brisk tapping noise on a keyboard. While the 2024 Silicon Valley Bank annual wine report paints a sobering picture of waning consumer demand and climbing production costs, there is hope for wineries willing to embrace change and leverage the power of data.
